Questions I am often asked.

Before we speak, perhaps one of these answers what you are wondering. And if not, I would love to hear from you directly.

  • Yes always. I am based in Germany and Italy is my second home. I travel across Europe and worldwide for the right wedding. Travel costs are discussed transparently as part of our first conversation, there are no surprises.

  • It will not. I do not photograph how you look. I photograph how you exist together. The couples who say this most often are the ones who end up with their favourite images. My approach is documentary, I observe, I anticipate, I wait. You will forget I am there.

  • Rarely, and only when it genuinely serves the image. My instinct is documentary, I create the conditions for something real to happen, and then I wait for it. If a small amount of direction helps you feel comfortable, I will offer it. But it will never feel like a photoshoot.

  • I limit myself to a number that allows me to give each couple complete attention, in the planning, on the day, and in the editing. That number is part of our conversation, and it is the reason I ask couples to inquire early for popular dates.

  • Cinematic and documentary. I am drawn to light, to the space between moments, to the things that happen when no one is performing. My work is influenced by street photography and film, quiet, composed, and deeply specific to each couple and place.

  • Send me a message through the contact page and tell me about your day, your date, and your location. We will have a conversation first. If we are the right fit for each other, I will send you an agreement and you will secure your date with a deposit. From that moment, your date is held exclusively for you.

  • For weddings in Italy and popular European destinations, I recommend inquiring at least 12–18 months in advance. Peak months like May, June, September, October fill early. That said, if your date is closer, please reach out and I will always let you know what is available.

  • Wedding photography with Di Salvo. begins at €1 600 for an intimate celebration and rises with the scope of the day. A detailed proposal is shared after our first conversation once I understand your day, your location, and what matters most to you.

  • Your full gallery is delivered within eight weeks of your wedding day. You will receive a preview of selected images within 48 hours , so you have something to hold while you wait.

  • For a full wedding day I typically deliver between 500 and 800 images, fully edited, in my cinematic style. I do not count images during editing. I deliver every image that is worth having.

  • Yes. Fine art albums are available and are discussed as part of our inquiry process. I design each album personally and they are not outsourced. An album is a different object than a gallery. It has a beginning, a middle, and an end.

  • Yes. A full print release is included with every gallery. You are free to print wherever you choose, for personal use.

  • Ja immer. Ich lebe zwischen Deutschland und Italien und kenne beide Länder sehr gut. Für die richtige Hochzeit reise ich durch ganz Europa und weltweit. Reisekosten besprechen wir offen im ersten Gespräch, es gibt keine versteckten Kosten.

  • Nein. Ich fotografiere nicht wie ihr ausseht, ich fotografiere wie ihr zusammen existiert. Die Paare, die mir das am häufigsten sagen, haben am Ende ihre liebsten Bilder. Mein Ansatz ist dokumentarisch, ich beobachte, ich antizipiere, ich warte. Ihr werdet vergessen, dass ich da bin.

  • Selten und nur wenn es dem Bild wirklich dient. Mein Instinkt ist dokumentarisch. Ich schaffe die Bedingungen, unter denen etwas Echtes entstehen kann, und warte dann darauf. Es wird sich nie wie ein Fotoshooting anfühlen.

  • Cineastisch und dokumentarisch. Ich arbeite mit natürlichem Licht, achte auf Komposition und warte auf die Momente zwischen den geplanten Momenten ,die Momente, in denen niemand mehr performt. Meine Arbeit ist beeinflusst von der Straßenfotografie und dem Film.

  • Schreibt mir über das Kontaktformular und erzählt mir von eurem Tag, eurem Datum und eurem Ort und was euch wirklich wichtig ist. Wir sprechen zuerst miteinander. Wenn wir zueinander passen und die Harmonie stimmt, schicke ich euch einen Vertrag und ihr sichert euer Datum mit einer Anzahlung.

  • Für Hochzeiten in Italien und beliebten europäischen Destinationen empfehle ich, mindestens 12–18 Monate im Voraus anzufragen. Die Monate Mai, Juni, September und Oktober sind schnell ausgebucht. Wenn euer Datum näher liegt, schreibt mir trotzdem, ich sage euch ehrlich was noch möglich ist.

  • Die Hochzeitsfotografie mit Di Salvo. beginnt ab € 1 800 für eine intime Feier oder Elopement und steigt mit dem Umfang des Tages. Ein detailliertes Angebot , welches zugeschnitten auf euren Tag ist, teile ich nach unserem ersten Gespräch.

  • Eure vollständige Galerie wird innerhalb von sechs Wochen nach dem Hochzeitstag geliefert. Ihr erhaltet innerhalb von 48 Stunden eine Vorschau, damit ihr schon etwas in den Händen haltet während ihr wartet.

  • Für einen vollständigen Hochzeitstag liefere ich in der Regel zwischen 500 und 800 Bilder, vollständig bearbeitet, in meinem cinematischen Stil. Ich zähle nicht während der Bearbeitung. Ich liefere jedes Bild, das es wert ist.

  • Ja. Fine-Art-Alben sind verfügbar und werden als Teil unseres Gesprächs besprochen. Ich gestalte jedes Album persönlich, das Design wird nicht ausgelagert. Ein Album ist etwas anderes als eine Galerie. Es hat einen Anfang, eine Mitte und ein Ende.
